All that matters - Freies Theaterhaus Frankfurt
Frei nach den Memoiren "Pearls of Childhood" von Vera Gissing hat das Theater La Senty Menti Episoden aus dem Tagebuch für die Bühne weitergedacht und mit biografischen Reflexionen der Darstellerin Liora Hilb verflochten. Das Stück für Publikum ab 9 Jahren erzählt lebendig und einfühlsam von den Ängsten und Wünschen eines Kindes, von der Suche nach Identität und davon, dass der Wille eines Einzelnen den Unterschied macht.
"Hoffnung ist wie eine Flamme. In einem Moment ist sie stark, im nächsten ist sie fast erloschen. Aber es bleibt immer ein Funke übrig.“ Es sind poetisch-hoffnungsvolle Erinnerungen wie diese, die uns die elfjährige Vera in ihrem Tagebuch hinterlässt. Sie handeln von der idyllischen Kindheit in einem Dorf in der Nähe von Prag und ihrer Flucht vor den Nazis. Mit nichts als einem Köfferchen in der Hand macht sie sich auf den Weg ins Ungewisse. Drei Tage lang fährt sie mit dem Zug quer durch Mitteleuropa bis sie schließlich die britische Hauptstadt London erreicht. Allein in einem fremden Land muss sie sich nun ein neues Leben aufbauen.
Am Sonntag, 17. März findet nach der Vorstellung die "Familienkonferenz" statt. Gemeinsam mit Bildenden Künstler:innen, Schauspieler:innen und Musiker:innen sind Zuschauer:innen dazu eingeladen zu unterschiedlichen Themen, die sich aus dem Geschehen ergeben, kreativ zu werden.
